Applied insider knowledge: Tips and tricks.

Naturally, it is good to make one's own experiences. But sometimes it is more shrewd to learn a few tips and tricks from colleagues. Here you will find many helpful suggestions, which will be useful for your routine daily work.

Clean the mixing bowls easily

Mixing bowls contaminated with stubborn plaster residue can be effortlessly cleaned: simply add GO-2011 to the mixing bowl and allow to take effect according to the amount of plaster. The immediately activated bubble formation indicates the beginning of the cleaning process. Rinse the bowl briefly under water after cleaning with GO-2011. Finished!

Removal of excess investment material

Do not discard the old Klettfix trimmer disc. It can be used as an ideal aid, for example to remove excess investment from a CrCo model manually.

Accurate wax copings in individual thicknesses

Create a coping with a uniform layer thickness with Hotty LED  in only 10 seconds. Using our GEO dipping wax and a temperature setting of 91°C  (196°F) you obtain a layer thickness of 0.4 mm; 90°C (194°F) = 0.5 mm; 92°C (198°F) = 0.3 mm.

Cleaning Waxlextric tips

Cleaning Waxlextric inserts is very easy. Any contaminants are gently removed by sandblasting with a non-abrasive blast medium (for ex. Rolloblast 50 µm) at 2 bar. After a short high-luster polish on the lathe, you are ready.

Brush: Retain elasticity

The brush hairs must always be allowed to dry after use. If a hair always stays moist, the moisture penetrates too deeply between the scale armor and medulla and the memory effect is lost. The scales do not return to their position any more and the tension is lost.

Lift inlays safely with Stabiloplast

Wax inlays can be removed from the die without distortion if the wax base is stabilised with a thin layer of Stabiloplast. The occlusal surface can then be waxed upon this layer. Tension-free bridge joints can be achieved by connecting crowns and pontics with Stabiloplast rather than joining with wax.

All ceramics: This is how the varnish is easily removed

For applications whereby the varnish must later be removed, (press ceramic) the die:master thinner is an excellent solvent when used together with the die:master silver or blue.

Correct storage of glues

Having opened the glue for the first time, it should not be placed back into the refrigerator as every opening attracts humidity because of the cold bottles; this affects the glue in the long term. In case the glue is closed and stored at room temperature this problem is reduced to a minimum.

Secure the preparation margin - with Liquicol

Before applying the varnish the preparation border can be hardened using Liquicol. This will make the surface resistant against mechanical and thermal loads. Even delicate dies can be maintained.

Renfert Basic quattro IS sandblasters are particularly suitable for the efficient and safe devesting of press ceramic as well as for the extremely delicate fissure blasting.
