REACH
What is REACH?
The term “REACH” stands for Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals.
It refers to the European Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, which aims to ensure the safe use of chemicals and to improve the protection of human health and the environment.
REACH affects all companies that manufacture or use chemical substances and covers the entire life cycle of a substance, from production to disposal.
Renfert is considered a “downstream user” within the meaning of REACH. Therefore, Renfert is generally not subject to any registration obligation.
What are SVHC?
The abbreviation “SVHC” stands for Substances of Very High Concern.
These substances are defined in the so‑called Candidate List of the REACH Regulation and include chemicals that are potentially harmful to human health or the environment due to their properties.

If SVHC substances are present in products, a specific information obligation within the supply chain applies according to Article 33 of the REACH Regulation.
We are in continuous contact with our suppliers in order to clarify the use of such substances in our products.
The use of these substances complies with the applicable legal requirements. In order to pre-empt potential prohibitions in the future, however, we are already taking steps to replace these substances - where technically possible.
Renfert products can be classified into mixtures (e.g., waxes, cleaning agents, polishing compounds, superglues) and products (devices and instruments).
In case mixtures contain SVHC substances, we will provide this information in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). The latest Safety Data Sheets are available under Downloads.
Some of our articles contain components that in turn include substances listed on the Candidate List. This information is provided on the delivery documents.
